BillingMallatt’s Homecare Pharmacy accepts most all insurance plans including but not limited to Medicare A, Medicare B, Medicare D, State of Wisconsin Medicaid, SeniorCare, Care Wisconsin, and Hospice. We understand that drug coverage with certain insurances can be confusing and stressful. We take all of that confusion and stress away by having prescription coverage experts that specialize in everything from claim rejections to prior authorizations and monthly billing questions.  Our billing department is in daily contact with insurance companies and stays up to date with all the new insurance guidelines. Due to insurance drug coverage guidelines, some medications require a Prior Authorization (paperwork that needs to be sent from the doctor to the insurance company explaining why a particular medication is required) before they can be paid by an insurance company and dispensed to the patient. If a medication prescribed for a patient at a facility requires a Prior Authorization, the pharmacy will notify the facility of the potential delay in filling the medication. Please note that Prior Authorizations generally take time to complete and that we will do our best to get the medication to the resident in a timely manner. The product cannot be sent until the insurance company approves. The pharmacy may contact the prescribing physician to see if an alternative medication can be used.
